Aquatic Leader
Gold River, a quaint coastal village located in central Vancouver Island, is seeking a casual Aquatic Leader to join our team. Gold River is an outdoor mecca for adventure at all times of the year with our incredible recreation services. The Village Aquatic Center includes a 25-meter swimming pool, sauna & hot tub, and a lazy river with a bubble pool for toddlers. In addition, the Village hosts racquet courts along with a weight room, fitness center and rooms for aerobics and yoga classes complemented with an Arena Complex which contains a community hall and both a curling and ice rink.
The position reports to the Operations Administrative Supervisor, the individual will be responsible for the provision of a safe and supervised aquatic program, maintain and carry out various levels of swimming and lifesaving skills, and know and practice emergency procedures to make the aquatic facility a safe and enjoyable place to be.
Qualified applicants will have:
- Grade 10
- CPR Basic Rescuer
- National Lifeguard Award
- Standard First Aid Certification
Applicant will also require a satisfactory Criminal Record check including Vulnerable Persons Check.
