Municipal Election
Municipal Elections – Your Vote Matters
The Village of Gold River is governed by a council of five elected officials: one mayor and four councillors. Council operates at policy level and delegates day-to-day operations through the chief administrative officer to Village staff.
A municipal election is held every four years in all communities across British Columbia. The next election will be held October 17, 2026. Voters will elect one mayor and four councillors for a four-year term.
Local government voting rights are granted to citizens based on residency or property ownership. There is no corporate or business vote in local elections.
