Annual Fire Hydrant Maintenance
The Village of Gold River Public Works Department will be conducting its annual fire hydrant maintenance starting Monday, April 7, 2025 through to Friday, May 9, 2025. This includes flushing, greasing, pressure testing, and parts replacement if needed. This procedure helps ensure a high quality of water, and supports the integrity of our water distribution and fire protection system.
During this time, you may notice temporary discolouration, sediments, or slight fluctuations in pressure or taste.
The water remains safe for consumption and use, and regular sampling and testing will continue in compliance with Provincial regulations and guidelines.
What can you do:
If you notice any of the above, discolouration, taste, or sediments:
- · Run your cold water taps for a few minutes.
- · Consider running a test load of laundry before washing your clothes.
