An outdoor recreation hub year-round, the Village features an aquatic centre with a swimming pool, sauna, hot tub, and lazy river, along with racquet courts, a fitness centre, and an arena complex with a community hall, curling rink, and ice rink.

The Village of Gold River is seeking a Seasonal Labourer (term ending October 30, 2026). Reporting to the Director of Operations, this role involves a variety of unskilled and semi-skilled manual tasks across utilities, buildings, roads, and the recycling facility. Duties are physically demanding and include using tools and operating small equipment, with additional assignments as required.

Qualified candidates will have:

  • Grade 12 Graduation or equivalent.
  • Valid BC Drivers Licence (Driver’s Abstract required).
  • Must be physically capable of carrying out assigned duties in all weather conditions.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in both oral and written form and execute oral and written instructions.
  • Must be able to operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
  • Must be able to exercise courtesy and tact when dealing with employees and the public.
  • Must be able to work safely in accordance with WorkSafe BC Regulations and Village Policy.

This is a CUPE Local 401 position with a 40-hour work week. The rate of pay shall be $32.05.
